The Dallas Cowboys have yet to part ways with Jason Garrett but they’re already in search of a new head coach.

On Saturday afternoon, NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport reported that the Cowboys had flown in Packers’ former head coach Mike McCarthy for an interview.

Rapoport followed up his initial report by saying the Cowboys are going to be looking at former NFL head coaches and that Marvin Lewis is generating interest from within the organization.

The expectation is that they are moving on from Garrett and they are laying the groundwork for a coaching search with the focus being on former NFL head coaches, I would also keep an eye on ex Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis from who I understand who has got some interest from inside the organization

Update: Apparently the Cowboys are interviewing Marvin Lewis on Saturday.
