It’s been roughly five months since Damar Hamlin’s scary incident that sent him to cardiac arrest.

Since that moment, many have wondered what’s next for his career. In the meantime, the Buffalo Bills safety has been adamant about returning to the field.

Well, it appears he’s well on his way to playing once again. According to Alaina Getzenberg, Damar Hamlin was a full participant at the Bills’ practice on Tuesday.

She even shared a clip of Hamlin warming up with his teammates.

Getzenberg shared a couple other clips of Hamlin participating in the Bills practice.

Now, it’s not full pads, as teams aren’t allowed to fully dress down this early in the offseason. Regardless, this is a great first step for Damar Hamlin to potentially see the field again for the Bills.

General manager Brandon Beane claims this was a big milestone for Hamlin, as he was able to achieve the first goal of his return, per Pro Football Talk.

“He’s worked really hard on the mental side of this. Physically, he’s all cleared but this is a real deal from a mental standpoint after you’ve been to where he was.”

Pro Football Talk also reports that, “Beane said the team will ‘continue to ramp him up’ during next week’s mandatory minicamp and said that the next ‘big hurdle’ for Hamlin will come in training camp when the pads come on.”

We’ll see how it plays out for Damar Hamlin, as the Bills will likely do everything possible to get him back on his feet.

Either way, football fans are just happy to hear that Hamlin is doing well.

There are still steps to be made in the process, but this is good news.

It really is amazing how quickly Hamlin is turning things around.

With that said, the Bills will likely monitor him closely as they ramp things up in practice throughout the summer.

More updates are sure to come, as everyone is rooting for Damar Hamlin.
