Outside of Carson Wentz’s actual family members, there may not be a bigger Wentz supporter walking the planet than Dan Orlovsky. The former NFL QB turned NFL analyst at ESPN has always been in Wentz’s corner and he defended his guy yet again during Monday’s edition of ‘Get Up.’

Wentz’s future was a topic of conversation during Monday’s show, specifically about whether or not he’ll be a starter in the NFL next season. Former NFL linebacker Rob Ninkovich made it clear that the Colts need to move on from Wentz and actually go after Jimmy Garoppolo in a trade. Ninkovich made his claim about Garoppolo right after Orlovsky explained why Wentz is a Top 15 QB in the league.

Dan Orlovsky Loses It While Defending Carson Wentz

Orlovsky could not believe the words coming out of Ninkovich’s mouth, his voice even went up an octave as he began his rebuttal.

“It’s not even close, Carson Wentz,” Orlovsky answered after being asked Wentz or Garoppolo. “What are we doing? Ninko I love you, but God bless I have to do this to you.”

“Number one, [the Colts] are bottom 10 in pass protection. The Colts have a phenomenal run game offensive line-wise, but bad protection. Number two, their No. 2 receiver is the 70th best receiver in the NFL. Seventieth!”

“Number three, Jimmy Garoppolo’s best season in 2019 is more representative of Carson Wentz’s 2019 season, which is the worst. Wentz has four seasons that are better than Jimmy Garoppolo.”

“Jimmy G a better passer? What the heck are you talking about, dude?”

You don’t have to agree with Orlovsky’s take on Wentz, but you have to respect how much passion he shows when defending the guy.
