South Carolina head basketball coach Dawn Staley earned the nickname “Louis Vuitton Dawn” for a reason. She always looks fresh when she walks onto the court.
Sunday’s national championship game was not the exception!
Staley came through dripping. Her jacket was glistening and the shoes were sparkling.
The entire outfit was Louis Vuitton, from head to toe, and cost more than $7,000! It potentially totals closer to $10,000, depending on the pants.
Here’s another look:
Staley was rocking the ‘Graphic Accent Silver Calfskin’ jacket, which is no longer listed on the Louis Vuitton website. It used to carry a price tag of $5,365.
I cannot find the exact pants that she had on. However, all of Louis’ black pants with a drawstring that are not sweatpants or joggers cost no less than $1,250.
And then there’s the shoes!
Staley’s kicks are extremely rare and highly-coveted among sneakerheads. They were actually designed by the Tyler, the Creator!
His LV Trainers, in beige, sell for anywhere between $1,800 and $4,800 on StockX. I do not know what Staley paid for them originally, or whether she had to pay for them at all. Maybe they were a gift!
Putting reality aside, lets split the difference in cost and do the math.

Dawn Staley had nearly $10K of Louis Vuitton on her while coaching the undefeated Gamecocks in the national championship. That’s a flex. It would be hard to argue that there is another coach in college basketball, men’s or women’s, who is well-dressed and swagged out as she. There are even few coaches, if any, who rock LV.
Louis Vuitton Dawn lived up to her nickname in a big (and expensive) way on the biggest stage!
