“The Shedeur” has become one of the most recognized cellies in all of college football thanks to Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders. We’re now seeing it make its way into the NFL and mainstream media.

Head coach Deion Sanders recently commented on the patented move, saying he wants to see his son capitalize as much as possible.

The move started before a game against rival Nebraska after the signal caller flashed his watch to Cornhusker players gathering at the Colorado logo.

Since, it’s only grown.

DJ Khaled was one of the first to repeat the celebration, posting it for his followers on social media. He even coined “The Shedeur” nickname.

Now, we’re beginning to see it everywhere.

After a win over Arizona State this past weekend, we saw Sanders immediately approach the Sun Devils students’ section to flex. The next day, a number of NFL stars were doing the same.

Players like Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall, and Davonte Adams were all seen flashing their wrists for the world to see.

Deion Sanders was recently asked about the growing popularity of celebration. He loves the exposure, but wants to see his son make some money on the trend.

“I love to see it… We’ve just got to get him a lucrative watch deal,” Coach Prime said. “He can’t keep doing it for free. We got to capitalize. He is my son.”

We’ve already seen some major partnerships in Boulder, most notably a sunglasses deal with Blenders Eyewear. Could a watch deal be the next domino to fall?
