As many college football teams head toward their offseason, there have been some big names being linked to jobs around the sport.

Matt Rhule has already become the head coach at Nebraska. Hugh Freeze is taking over at Auburn. Luke Fickell is the new man in charge at Wisconsin. Trent Dilfer took his first college coaching job at UAB. Brian Hartline has been named as a candidate for the job at Cincinnati.

Even with all of those big names being involved in this year’s edition of the college football coaching carousel, there is no bigger name than Deion Sanders on the market right now. After turning Jackson State into an absolute powerhouse in the FCS, he became a popular name for just about every open job this year.

Now it seems he has narrowed his options down to two.

According to CBS Sports’ Su’a Cravens, Coach Prime is deciding between Colorado and Cincinnati with Colorado looking like a huge favorite to land him.

Colorado hiring Deion Sanders has been the expectation for a little while now as there was recently a report that they had offered Sanders the job.

Landing Sanders would be a huge win for a Colorado program that has only finished .500 once in the last 6 seasons and won only 1 game this year. With UCLA and USC getting ready to leave the PAC-12, there could be a power vacuum in the conference that Coach Prime could take advantage of.

He would also be a solid replacement for Fickell at Cincy after his very successful tenure there.

Wherever Sanders winds up, all eyes will be on that program to see what he do as a coach at the FBS level.
