Deion Sanders has wasted no time getting to work for the Colorado Buffaloes.

Since the moment he was announced as their next head coach Coach Prime has been doing everything he can to shape the program into what he wants it to be.

It started with him making it clear to his new players that their spots on the team were not guaranteed and that they should be ready to “jump into” the transfer portal. It only took a day for them to begin taking that advice as one of the team’s quarterbacks entered the portal. That quarterback will be replace by Sanders’ son.

He has already secured a pair of high-profile coaches to act as the defensive coordinators for the Buffaloes.

Now it appears he has set his sights on making a splash in recruiting.

Earlier today, 4-star running back Dylan Edwards decommitted from Notre Dame. Now Deion Sanders is making a serious run at getting him to join Colorado according Rivals’ national recruiting director Adam Gorney.

Sanders has already landed a 4-star receiver for the class of 2025, but this would be his first big recruiting win for Colorado’s 2023 class.

Running back is a position group that could absolutely use some for Colorado. This season, the Buffaloes finished outside the top 100 teams in the country in rushing yards with just 108.3 yards per game. They got those yards on an average of just 3.4 yards per carry, which was the 16th worst average in the country.

Deion Sanders is already clearly having an impact on this Colorado program and the school will hope he continues to be in the running for strong recruits like Edwards and for big names in the transfer portal.
