Deion Sanders Evades Ex While Supporting Daughter After She Rejected His Transfer Advice

Deion Sanders took time out of schedule to support his daughter, Shelomi, over the weekend. He was seen in Huntsville, Alabama on Saturday rooting on the Alabama A&M basketball team.

Shelomi Sanders is a guard for the Bulldogs. She landed with the program after opting to leave Colorado in the offseason.

That transfer decision was initially met with criticism from her father. He said it was “stupid” to bail on the Buffs.

“It was stupid! You’ve got to get a team before you enter the portal. That’s what I would advise… I know, ‘Well, it’s illegal.’ Everybody knows somebody, that knows somebody, that knows somebody.”

Shelomi spurned her father’s advice and entered the portal without a destination in mind. It eventually resulted in a transfer to the SWAC, where he father previously coached with Jackson State.

On Saturday, Deion Sanders was in attendance to watch Alabama A&M take on Alabama State.

The Bulldogs would leave with a 54-47 win, though Shelomi struggled in the contest. She shot 0-3 from the field while recording one assist in seven minutes of action.

While she wasn’t able to provide a spark off the bench in this particular instance, she seemed grateful to have her father in the arena.

Deion Sanders wasn’t the only parent in the building, though. Pilar Sanders was also on hand, evidenced by a video posted to Shelomi’s Instagram story.

Shelomi is one of three children from that previous relationship, joining Shedeur and Shilo. The couple split in 2012, with things getting ugly. Pilar accused Deion of abuse towards her and the children at one point. He later won a defamation lawsuit.

As you might assume, there is tension. It was on full display at the Colorado football senior day as he made it a point to swerve by Pilar while walking his sons onto the field.

The two did not appear to be sitting together at the Alabama A&M basketball game this weekend. Deion Sanders was courtside. Pilar was nowhere to be found.

It seems Sanders did his best to evade his ex while supporting their daughter. With that being said, it looks like Shelomi enjoyed have both in attendance.
