Deion Sanders went back and forth with another local reporter this week as his team gears up for a matchup against the Baylor Bears. This time, weather was the point of consternation.
The media member asked Coach Prime about preparations for potential rain after seeing a change in the Saturday forecast. Sanders gave his thoughts, refusing to emulate his alma mater when it comes to inclement weather preparations!
Last week, the Florida State Seminoles hosted Memphis. Rain was a possibility for the afternoon contest, leading the ‘Noles to implement ball security drills.
To simulate the wet conditions, the coaching staff pulled out water guns, dousing footballs as pass catchers and punt returners attempted to make plays.
The result was an absolutely unserious scene that immediately went viral with the Seminoles starting the year 0-2.

In Florida State’s case, the rain cleared before kickoff. Making matters worse, they’d go on to lose to Memphis, 20-12.
Deion Sanders refuses to let his team become the butt of college football jokes. He’s not taking the same approach!
When asked about a possible rain game, Coach Prime testily noted that he wouldn’t be implementing any new practice drills.
🦬 @DeionSanders pigeon-tossed me for asking how they might prepare for potential rain in the forecast.
Says, not a significant enough of a chance for him to allocate practice time for something that might not happen. Says, “how about we do drills that say it won’t rain?” pic.twitter.com/9Tltju4OGp

“How about we do drills that say it won’t rain?” he asked. The Buffs will NOT be made a laughingstock!
As of now, there still appears to be a chance of rain for kickoff. Should Sanders be correct in his assessment of the forecast, one local weatherman has offered an interesting prize.
If it doesn’t rain on Saturday @DeionSanders, we’d love to have you do the weather on @9NEWS on Monday (seriously)!

Should he be wrong, he’ll hope the rain doesn’t play a major factor in the outcome of the game.
