Delonte West was asked about rumors involving LeBron James' mom
Former NBA player Delonte West was asked about the rumors that he slept with LeBron James’ mom. His answer was extremely telling.
At a Wednesday press conference for Adin Ross’ Brand Risk 16 event in Miami, comedian Supa Hot Fire asked former NBA player Delonte West whether he had a sexual relationship with LeBron James’ mother, Gloria James.

The rumor dates to the 2010 NBA playoffs, when LeBron’s top-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers, with West as a teammate, lost to the Boston Celtics in the second round. It’s unclear who started it, and it has never been confirmed. West has denied it in the past, saying in 2012 that “something like that never happened,” according to Basketball Network.
In an August interview with streamer N3on, he said LeBron and Gloria checked on him and his mother during one of the hardest stretches of his life, with Gloria calling to see how his mom was doing.
West, the No. 24 pick in 2004, has had a rough road since his playing days. He was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2008, and videos of him panhandling went viral in 2020, when Mark Cuban helped him enter rehab. Reports say he has had multiple relapses and arrests since. In March, West said he had reached 100 days sober while working with a fitness and wellness program in Florida
