All things considered, $5,000 doesn’t seem like an exorbitant figure. I know guys who make a pittance who spend $300-$400 on Fridays and Saturdays in a misguided attempt to be a big shot. None of them have anything close to a $24 million deal like Jackson.
Actually, “alcohol” could be the appropriate response to any number of questions regarding questionable decisions.
