We’re beginning to get more details on Dianna Russini’s life amid the fallout of her alleged affair with New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel.
Two weeks ago, Russini and Vrabel, who are both married to other people, were photographed getting chummy at an adults-only hotel in Arizona.
At the time, Russini denied any wrongdoing and claimed there were other people at the hotel with her and Vrabel.
“The photos don’t represent the group of six people who were hanging out during the day.” said Russini “Like most journalists in the NFL, reporters interact with sources away from stadiums and other venues.”
Russini continued to deny the allegations of an affair when she resigned from her job at The Athletic.
“I have covered the NFL with professionalism and dedication throughout my career, and I stand behind every story I have ever published. When the Page Six item first appeared, The Athletic supported me unequivocally, expressed confidence in my work and pride in my journalism. For that I am grateful. In the days that followed, unfortunately, commentators in various media have engaged in self-feeding speculation that is simply unmoored from the facts.”
Eventually, more compromising photos of Russini and Vrabel were leaked to the press, which led to Vrabel voluntarily seeking counseling.
Since then, Russini has deleted all of her social media accounts and started to lay low.
On Monday, the Daily Mail reports that Russini is currently “shellshocked” by the scandal and still plotting her next move.

‘Dianna is a bit shellshocked by it all and has not really shown her hand in all of this, as it has been a very intense situation that she is still trying to figure out and feel out,’ a source told the Daily Mail.
‘She’s neither here nor there right now as the dust hasn’t settled one bit. Nobody including herself knows what the next move for her will be.
‘One thing she is mainly focusing on is being a mom and to protect her kids through all of this madness.’
