The words came after both cold welcome in Gainbridge Fieldhouse and a slew of social media attacks on her X timeline.

Dijonai Carrington was a popular target of online hate given her history with the Fever and Caitlin Clark.

Earlier this year, the guard mocked the rookie on the floor for what she believed was constant foul baiting. The beef continued when Carrington went after Clark for losing her temper during a game against Washington.

The budding rivalry would’ve been enough to spark the social media fire on its own. She made it worse with her play on the court, though!

Caitlin Clark cooked Dijonai Carrington while she tried to quiet the Fever crowd.

We mentioned that Carrington equaled Clark’s 19-point output. She had a great game! At one point in the action, though, she got a little too cocky!

During an incredible sequence, we saw the two stars trade three-pointers. The first came from Clark, which sent the Indiana crowd into a frenzy.

The second came from Carrington, who gestured to the fans after sinking her trey. She quieted the crowd – but only for a brief moment!

Caitlin Clark quickly inbounded the ball and went right at Dijonai Carrington, whose focus was still on the viewers in the stands. The rookie blew by the unsuspecting defender for another quick bucket.

Not the best look!

Dijonai Carrington certainly didn’t deserve some of the hate received on social media. Some fans can’t help but cross the line. She certainly made herself an easy target, though!
