The Cleveland Browns‘ offense struggled against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Dillon Gabriel’s second career start. They were held out of the endzone in a two-score loss.
Gabriel’s stat line was pedestrian. He completed 29 of 52 throws for 221 yards. He was nearly picked off on multiple occasions.
Those struggles were not on the passer alone. He was pressured heavily throughout the contest, resulting in six sacks. He was hurried a handful of other times.
After one of those instances, he reacted in anger.
Dillon Gabriel grabbed Patrick Queen’s helmet.

Queen made contact with Gabriel as he released a pass that fell incomplete to the turf. The quarterback took immediate offense.
Gabriel grabbed Queen’s shoulder pads and facemask in an apparent attempt to confront the linebacker. He seemed to rethink that decision soon thereafter.
The reaction might’ve been in heightened due to a play that occurred earlier in the game. Patrick Queen was flagged for roughing the passer after hitting Dillon Gabriel high.
Patrick Queen gets tagged for a high hit on Dillon Gabriel but that’s wiped out by Jerry Jeudy holding Joey Porter Jr. to stop him from making an interception. #Steelers

Fans want Shedeur Sanders.
Social media is reacting to Gabriel’s subpar performance. Calls for his replacement are growing louder.
If ever there was a time to go to Sheduer Sanders it is now. The game is lost, put him out there see what he can do. He can’t be worse than this Gabriel fella

Sanders was listed as the official backup following the release of Joe Flacco. He did not see the field.
