San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey’s injury could be much worse than previously believed.
On Monday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter revealed that McCaffrey is currently in Germany seeking medical advice from experts about his Achilles injury, which has kept him out this season.
And to top it off, 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey is seeing a specialist in Germany regarding his Achilles tendinitis.

Sports injury specialist Dr. Jesse Morse believes McCaffrey is going to Germany to get experimental stem cell therapy unavailable in the United States.
“This is definitely abnormal, if something is straightforward as far as an injury is concerned you don’t have to fly to Germany to address it especially during the middle of the season.” “There are certain things here in America that we don’t have access to in other countries like Germany”
“They’re doing a different type of modified stem cell, they’re doing a different type of stem cell that is not allowed here in America.”
Morse believes McCaffrey’s Achilles injury is likely serious, considering he had to go to Germany to get treatment.
“In general this is more concerning to me than comforting, why? He literally had to fly across the world in the middle of the season to address the Achilles tendon injury.?
