Donald Trump has seen the comments made by Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and he is very appreciative.
In case you missed it, it was alleged that Brittany Mahomes liked then un-liked a social media post made by Donald Trump that outlined the Republican Party’s campaign platform.
Naturally, her supposed friendship with Taylor Swift did not mix well with that act drawing the ire of Swifties and many other Democrats the world over.
“Patrick Mahomes, imagine marrying someone who doesn’t care about your rights and your kid’s rights,” one person wrote. “Brittany Mahomes agreeing with Project 2025 but married to a black man with mixed kids is insane.”
“She supports the man who has used her friend’s image without permission,” read another internet comment. “Kinda stole from her friend, but Brittany doesn’t really care about her friend I guess.”
While not admitting that she did, in fact, like the post, Brittany Mahomes fired back. (Even though she publicly stated last month in an interview that she “doesn’t give a f— anymore” about her haters.)
“I mean honestly, to be a hater as an adult you have to have some deep rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood,” she wrote in an Instagram story. “There’s no reason your brain is fully developed and you hate to see others doing well.”
She also wrote “Read that again!” alongside a screenshot of an image which read, “Contrary to the tone of the world today….you can disagree with someone, and still love them. You can have differing views, and still be kind.”
Mahomes later liked, then un-liked, a comment underneath another post she made on Instagram which read, “TRUMP-VANCE 2024.”
All of that was then, apparently, interpreted by Donald Trump as Brittany Mahomes not just defending him, but “strongly” defending him.
“I want to thank beautiful Brittany Mahomes for so strongly defending me, and the fact that MAGA is the greatest and most powerful Political Movement in the History of our now Failing Country,” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Wednesday.
“With Crime and Illegal Immigration totally out of control, INFLATION Ravaging all Americans, and a World that is laughing at the stupidity of our hapless ‘leaders,’ it is nice to see someone who loves our Country, and wants to save it from DOOM. What a great couple – See you both at the Super Bowl!”
The next Patrick Mahomes session with the media should be fun.
