Does anyone take a bad performance worse than a golfer? We’re the worst (and I say that without including myself, because I’m pretty awesome and my bad reactions max out at screaming CUNT at the top of my lungs). Some golfers, however, take their equipment — that they may have paid thousands of dollars for — and completely destroy it during or after a round. I don’t get it. Slamming a club into the ground, I get. Chucking a $400 driver into the pond, I do not.
This guy, Dave Sayers, took being a idiot after a round of golf to new heights. He wasn’t satisfied with just throwing his clubs away (which he did), he needed to put his head into a garbage can. For reasons no one will ever need to understand.
According to Dave Sayers:
“We were coming to the end of the day and I had been losing it a bit with a few bad shots. We’d all had a few beers.
“I said, ‘I’m going to bin these clubs’ but they wouldn’t fit. I decided to go a step further.
“I went to put my head in the bin, but then I couldn’t get it out.”
Thankfully, the universe decided to make an example of Mr. Sayers and made sure he couldn’t get his head out of the trash receptacle. So he had to sit there, while inhaling the intoxicating scent of garbage juice, and think about what he did for a few minutes.
