Dwight Howard Finally Responded To Being Clowned All Week (And This Decade) By Shaquille O’Neal

It has not been a very fun week for Dwight Howard, thanks to his long-time nemesis Shaquille O’Neal.

First, on Monday, Shaq was giving away free pizza to kids at a Papa John’s in Atlanta when TMZ asked him how he felt about the Lakers signing Howard because of Boogie Cousins getting injured.

Shaq’s response? “Who?!? I don’t know him.”

Then, while setting the record straight that Kobe and the Diesel were not really beefing when they traded barbs after Kobe called Shaq a “lazy ass” this week, Shaq couldn’t even spell Howard’s first name correctly on Twitter.

Unlike with Kobe, Shaq’s beef with Howard is definitely real, and it’s been going on for a decade or so.

In 2018, Howard told NBC Sports, “I think it’s a little insecurity on his part because people call him ‘Superman’ and they call me ‘Superman.’ But if I’m an older guy and it’s younger players that are being compared to me and they have that same nickname, I want to feel good about it. I just think it comes off to me as a little bit insecure when you’re taking shots at somebody that’s 10, 12 years younger than you.”

Late Wednesday night, apparently Howard had had enough of Shaq and finally responded to the Hall of Famer’s latest trolling.

“I really didn’t see what Shaq said, and it’s okay. I’m not here to talk about Shaq … what he said, what he did. It’s irrelevant to what I’m trying to do,” Howard said in an Instagram Live post. “So, don’t talk to me about what anybody else said about me. My focus is on one thing.”

Personally, I think this entire beef between Shaq and Howard goes back to when Diesel dropped the mic on Dwight back at the 2007 NBA All-Star Game.
