EA Sports is currently in the middle of a lawsuit right now over the name, image and likeness of the players in the planned college football title.
The game is set for release in the summer of 2024 and college football fans can’t wait for the game to finally come out.
But it’s certainly been a rocky road ever since the Brandr Group got involved.
Recently, the Brandr Group filed a temporary restraining order against EA Sports and we finally have a ruling on that situation.
According to The Athletic’s Chris Vannini, a judge sided with EA Sports and denied the Brandr Group’s restraining order.
NEW: The Brandr Group’s temporary restraining order request against EA Sports has been denied.
TBG had requested a TRO to stop EA Sports from soliciting TBG partner schools and athletes. As of now, case continues. https://t.co/ZgsGLIzCLY pic.twitter.com/ZYU9Tyf7bz

Now, this doesn’t technically clear EA Sports of the lawsuit completely, but it’s a good first step.
There are still several steps to take moving forward. As reported, EA Sports has been working with schools to get the green light to put them into the game. The Brandr Group stepped in wanting to make sure the players are paid fairly.
However, EA Sports has claimed they have not made any offers to the players yet. But from the sounds of it, that could be in the works sometime down the road.
Considering the game won’t be released until about this time next year, there is still plenty of time for EA Sports to make the right moves to ensure the game is released.
Due to this update on EA Sports’ lawsuit, we should expect to hear more news sometime in August. So, make sure to keep an eye out for the next update.
