The Eagles didn’t expect to lose to the Jets on Sunday, ending their perfect season, and the players knew the blame should be placed on no one else but themselves.

Things didn’t go well, with star quarterback Jalen Hurts throwing 3 interceptions in the game, as the entire offense suffered four turnovers against a Jets team playing with a backup quarterback and two backup cornerbacks in the game.

The Eagles don’t normally make these kinds of mistakes.

Wide receiver A.J. Brown stepped up in the locker room after the game to speak with the team, followed by quarterback Jalen Hurts and defensive end Haason Reddick. There was no need for Coach Nick Sirianni to step in – the players decided to hash it out themselves, according to NBCS’s John Clark.

In that post-game powwow, the guys talked about more than just team accountability; they also discussed the importance of personal responsibility. Center Jason Kelce and some other Eagles emphasized the need for some serious introspection and the need to “Look in the mirror.”

The Eagles hope to bounce back and get back to form against the powerhouse Dolphins on Week 7.
