Daniel Jones and the New York Giants have plenty to discuss this offseason. After having a solid season, many believe Jones deserves a long-term contract.
Now, former Super Bowl-winning quarterback Eli Manning shares his take on the situation.
According to Sports Illustrated, Manning believes Jones is deserving of a long-term deal. He states, “I was proud of Daniel, the way he played, to learn another offense and pick it up. Just the way he played in the fourth quarter of a number of games and leading the team back to victory, which was awesome, that’s what you want that from your quarterback.”
With that said, Eli Manning wants to see Daniel Jones secure the bag. “I hope he gets rewarded for that. I hope he is the quarterback for the Giants for a long time,” per Sports Illustrated.
Here is Eli Manning talking about Daniel Jones on the Rich Eisen Show. He has nothing but good things to say about the Giants’ current quarterback.
Considering how good Jones looked throughout the season, Giants fans are quick to agree with Eli Manning. Especially considering New York had one of the worst receiving cores in the league and he still managed to produce efficient numbers.

We’ll see if New York forks over the cash or not. There is a chance they opt to give Jones a franchise tag instead. However, the fans seem to agree with Eli Manning and are excited to have him as the team’s long-term option.
