ESPN reporter Seth Wickersham is straight-up calling out Bill Belichick out for lying for his comments after this weekend’s Bucs-Patriots game.
Last week, Wickersham dropped several bombshells about Belichick’s relationship with Brady that will be released in an upcoming book.

n the end, Tom Brady just wanted to say goodbye — in person — to his longtime coach. But according to a new book to be published next month, Bill Belichick said he wasn’t available and insisted the two New England Patriots legends talk on the phone.
Even though Belichick told Brady that he was “the best player the league had ever seen,” Brady told a friend the fact it came over the phone was “telling” about how badly the duo’s relationship had deteriorated over the years. The book, “It’s Better to Be Feared,” by ESPN senior writer Seth Wickersham, will be published Oct. 12 by Liveright Publishing. It’s based on hundreds of interviews with a range of sources, including previously confidential emails, texts, game plans, scouting reports and internal New England studies
After the Pats-Bucs game, Belichick told the media that he didn’t think he had ever talked to Wickersham.

Wickersham saw Belichick’s comment and then provided details about the long conversations he had with the Patriots head coach.
Was just asked about this in an interview. Curious thing for him to say. We've spoken many times over the years, recorded and on record, for stories both on Brady and himself: An hour on his coaching tree, 45 min on Ken Shipp and learning offense; 20 min on the draft process, etc https://t.co/zDrj6aAogW

It’ll be interesting if a Pats reporter asks him about his relationship with Wickersham in the team’s upcoming media day.
