If you are a pro athlete, you are going to receive criticism. It’s just part of the job.

Fans, the media, even coaches will critique much of what you do. It can occur during interviews, on social media, and in articles. That’s all to be expected.

But on PlayStation 5? That’s a new one.

On Tuesday, New York Jets running back Breece Hall revealed on X, formerly known as Twitter, that he’s not even safe from the critics on PS5.

“Y’all texting me off PS5 now?” Hall posted on X along with two crying laughing emojis.

In the post, Hall shared a graphic showing a message someone sent him on the video game system.

“Maybe the Jets would win more if you could score a TD in real life, not in Madden,” the gamer wrote in his message to Hall.

The best part though might have been the fact that after writing that, the gamer added, “Gg ez pal.”

The gamer isn’t wrong, but it is certainly not all Breece Hall’s fault.

He leads the team with 210 yards rushing, but the Jets have only scored one rushing touchdown all season. Nick Bawden rushed for one in Week 3 against New England.

My husband got his first touchdown of his 5 year NFL career today. When I say he deserves it, it's an understatement. He works harder than anyone I've ever known. He's the first guy in and the last guy out. The work and dedication he puts in is unmatched (ask his teammates). I literally cried today when this happened. I couldn't be more proud of this man. THATS MY HUSBAND!!!!

Plus, it’s not like Breece Hall isn’t aware of the Jets lack of success on the ground.

After the Jets’ Week 2 loss to the Cowboys, Hall posted then deleted four football emojis to indicate the four measly touches he got in the game.

So maybe, just maybe, let the man have a little peace when he’s trying to unwind with a little PS5 time.
