Brian Kelly’s comments about threatening to boycott the College Football Playoffs are coming back to bite him in the ass.

Earlier this week, Notre Dame’s head coach told ESPN that his team might not play in the playoffs if families couldn’t attend the game.

I’m not sure we’ll play in the playoffs if the parents can’t be there,” Kelly said, “Why would be we play if you can’t have families at the game? If you can’t have families at bowl games, why would you go to a game where your families can’t be part of it? What’s the sense of playing a game in an area of the country where nobody can be part of it?”

On Saturday the Irish got beat down so bad by Clemson that they might even be considered to make it to the playoffs.

College football fans immediately reminded Kelly about his comments following the team’s embarrassing loss to Clemson.
