The first tee box at the Ryder Cup is unlike any other in the game of golf. We saw the ginormous arena built around the first tee at the 2018 Ryder Cup in Paris and Whistling Straits followed suit by building quite the cathedral around its first tee as well this year.

The actual build-up to the Ryder Cup is one of the many reasons the event is so special and it all comes to fruition as players walk out of the tunnel and step onto that first tee. The fans erupt, player’s heart rates go up, and the wait is finally over. After the event being postponed a year and with fans in attendance it makes the scenes around the first tee that much more special.

Fans at Whistling Straits were ready for the opening tee shot on Friday morning.

The fear of missing out is very, very real for any golf fan not in attendance this weekend.

It’s good to have the Ryder Cup back and it’s great to see these sorts of scenes with fans having the time of their lives.
