During a recent First Take segment featuring WWE stars Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch, New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers was ranked by the pair as the “biggest heel” in all of the American professional sports.

In addition to Rodgers, the Top 5 list that Rollins and Lynch assembled consisted of UFC fight Sean O’Malley at #2, NBA legend LeBron James at #3,  Irish professional boxer Katie Taylor at #4 (huh, whomst?!), and future Hall of Fame NFL head coach Bill Belichick at #5.

“Speaking of punchable faces…” Rollins begins, “Aaron Rodgers. We wanna talk about punchable faces. This guy has got the most punchable face in all of the NFL, and he knows it, too.”

“He’s cocky, he’s got swag, he goes out and tells the Bears ‘he owns you’, he goes on the McAfee show and says whatever he wants. He’s got all of his opinions. “

Given that Rodgers’ new team, the New York Jets, hasn’t qualified for the playoffs since the 2010 season — which is currently the longest postseason drought in the entire National Football League, a true black mark — the franchise could likely care less about how well-liked or disliked Rodgers is if he can deliver wins on-the-field.

Heading into the 2023 campaign, his first with Gang Green, Rodgers and the Jets are expected to be one of the main contenders for the Vince Lombardi trophy, at least as far as the bookmakers are concerned.

At this time — which is before training camps have even started, meaning a lot can change between now and the start of the season, let alone between now and the Super Bowl — the Jets are one of the top seven favorites to become NFL champions, with only the Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, Buffalo Bills (who are also in the AFC East), Cincinnati Bengals and Dallas Cowboys having shorter betting odds.
