Sunday was a huge day for the University of Florida football program. The Gators were able to move-in to their brand new, state-of-the-art football facility and it looks incredible.

The facility, known as the Heavener Football Training Center, cost $85 million in total and is 142,000 square feet in size. Day-to-day football operations will run out of Heavener and the school hopes that it will be a game-changed for efficiency on and off of the field, as well as recruiting.

For actual football purposes, the center will feature 13,000 square feet of weight and training rooms that overlook and are directly connected to the team’s indoor practice facility. It will also house all other Florida athletic programs starting closer to the fall semester.

The other amenities within the center are amazing. There are very few schools in the country with a similar space.

Amenities inside the building include a dining hall, lounge area and barber shop. All of that is fairly common.

However, it also features a virtual reality room, a gaming and golf center, a 65,000-gallon resort-style pool, basketball courts and multipurpose lawn and beach volleyball areas. No detail was spared.

Football is the first team in the building and has been there all week. Although there is still some construction going on, it didn’t stop the unveiling from being special.

Tight end Jonathan Odom brought his camera along with him on the tour. He compiled his videos on TikTok and provided an inside look at the facility and it’s truly remarkable.
