Florida State pitcher Maison Martinez wore the best pregame outfit of college baseball Opening Day on Friday. He rocked a custom graphic t-shirt on his way into the stadium that pays homage to his girlfriend, Kaylee Seamann.
It also just so happened to be Valentine’s Day!
Martinez, a junior, transferred during the offseason after playing his first two years of college baseball at VCU. The 6-foot-2, 246-pound right-handed pitcher recorded 41 strikeouts with a 2.98 ERA over 42 innings as a sophomore in 2024 and will serve as a crucial bullpen arm for the Seminoles this season.
Maison Martinez possesses the stuff you want to see from high-leverage right-handed arms. Fastball up to 95, sitting 93-94, generates a ton of ride. Two breakers with a high-80s slider & a mid-80s CB. Also mixes in a CH, threw a couple of good ones today. Three Ks today. pic.twitter.com/tGa2SOuBG5

Hailing from Lake Worth, Florida, Maison Martinez started dating his girlfriend in high school. They were both named as Homecoming King and Queen at Park Vista in 2021.
They celebrated their three-year anniversary in 2022.
Now three (more) years later, Martinez is pitching at Florida State. Seamann is a KD at Central Florida.
Although they are separated by 271 miles during the school year, the former still found a way to show his love for the latter on Opening Valentine’s Day. He arrived Doak S. Campbell Stadium in a black t-shirt and black pants prior to his first-ever game with the Seminoles. His shirt was a total flex.
It featured five different pictures of his girlfriend arranged into a classic early-2000s graphic tee collage. Her name, Kaylee, was spelled out in capital letters.
Here’s a closer look:

What a flex!!
Maison Martinez and Kaylee Seamann are still going strong despite the distance between them. The haters might heckle him for being “whipped” but he found a way to show her off, on the day of love, prior to his first game on the highest level of college baseball. Nobody on his team or elsewhere in the country wore a better outfit on Opening Day. That’s next level.
