Before the start of the college football season, FSU announced they would limit how many fans could attend games to somewhere between 20 and 25 percent capacity at Doak Campbell Stadium to adhere to the CDC’s guidelines on social distancing.
It’s important all of us do our part to ensure we can play football in a way that is safe for our players, coaches & fans this fall. Wear a mask, practice social distancing & wash your hands so we can all enjoy the sport we love very soon. @Coach_Norvellhttps://t.co/T9AZcN1Io6

While FSU only allowed 19k fans into the stadium for the team’s home opener against Georgia Tech on Saturday it didn’t appear like those fans were practicing proper social distancing.

People were not happy with how close together FSU fans were sitting while in the middle of a pandemic.
Northern Florida is an epicenter of the COVID19 epidemic in the US this summer. I see a fair number of people here without masks. https://t.co/kqPaQLPGHe

Judging by the number of people that I see in the stands at the Florida State game without masks, they’re sending a clear message that they don’t really want the college football season to continue. pic.twitter.com/lhvPRyt6TR

Please don’t do this. Wear your mask and maintain social distancing. https://t.co/aKVJcCeFla

ABC showed the stands at FSU's stadium and …… so many faces without masks. So many faces without masks not social distancing. So many faces without masks not social distancing of various age groups. pic.twitter.com/lvcBFOAcrf

Risking getting COVID to watch FSU play football is another level of stupid https://t.co/9sV9YX5Por

I don’t know how you can be an FSU student and not be livid at the lack of social distancing inside the football stadium right now. Months of work to minimize the spread of the virus have been undone in weeks with the return of students and football. Depressing to say the least.
