Flyers’ Scott Laughton Stretchered Off The Ice After Very Scary Hit From John Carlson

Goes without saying that no matter how fierce the rivalry, this is something you never want to see happen in sports.

The Philadelphia Flyers’ Scott Laughton was stretchered off the ice on Wednesday night’s Game 4 against the Washington Capitals after a shove from John Carlson sent the center awkwardly crashing into the boards.

Unfortunately, here’s another angle.

Obviously, everyone at the Wells Fargo Center was shaken up having witnessed Laughton slam into the boards with such force. Ryan White’s face pretty much sums that up.

Per Flyers PR, Laughton is headed to a nearby hospital for precautionary reasons.

Luckily, he was moving his arms and speaking while being immobilized and stretched off.

What a scary scene. Prayers up for Scott Laughton this evening.
