Professional wrestling legend Ric Flair was back making headlines this past weekend, but it wasn’t for something good.

The “Nature Boy” made the news after he was kicked out of Piesanos Stone Fire Pizza in Gainesville after attending graduation ceremonies at the University of Florida.

We know this happened for two reasons. One, Ric Flair told everyone on social media about it. And, two, there’s video.

“Spent $1500 at @piesanosstonefiredpizza To Be Disrespected More Than I Ever Have In My Entire Life. After Taking 20 Pictures With Customers And Staff, I Was Asked To Leave Because Of An Issue I Had With The Kitchen Manager Taking Too Long In The Bathroom. I Would Highly Recommend That Anyone Who Wants To Enjoy A Relaxing Time In Gainesville At A Nice Restaurant To Never Visit This Place! WOOOOO!” Flair wrote on X (Twitter).

Side note: we have taken a look at the restaurant’s menu and it is NOT easy to spend $1,500 there, as Flair claimed. He would have had to order something like 300 stuffed shells, or 200 stuffed shells and 100 meatballs if he went with the combo order. Or, perhaps, he loaded up with 187 orders of Tiramisu.

In the restaurant’s defense, Piesanos co-owner Jerry Roberts told the Gainesville Sun that the “evidence was clear” but wouldn’t say specifically why Flair was booted from the restaurant. He did, however, send a text message with a statement about the incident.

“We have reviewed video of the incident that took place recently at our restaurant,” Roberts texted the Sun. “It is clear, our team worked in a professional manner to ensure the safety of guests and staff. We have thanked our team for their professionalism. We are proud of how they responded to this situation using and displaying our team values.”

Roberts also said that the restaurant had no plans to release the video.

He didn’t need to explain what happened or release the video. The internet did it for him.

The 75-year-old Flair recently claimed that he had a heart attack in the ring during his umpteenth “final” wrestling match but didn’t realize it until afterwards.
