If the NFL was looking to float a trial balloon following the NBA Draft Lottery to see if their fans would be interested in doing the same with professional football, they most definitely got their answer.
That’s because while still reveling in all the hype and media coverage surrounding the NBA Draft Lottery, the official NFL Draft Twitter account made the gross mistake of saying they too wanted their own NBA-style lottery.
Perhaps the NFL thought that a lottery might be the solution to NFL teams like the Miami Dolphins deliberately tanking (allegedly) in order to pick up a potential franchise quarterback in the 2020 NFL Draft. Not that getting one of those will work. The New England Patriots are still going to be in the AFC East in 2020 last time I checked.
Hey, NFL, we want a draft lottery, too.

Needless to say, after seeing the New Orleans Pelicans beat the odds and six teams with a higher percentage chance in getting the top pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, that tweet did NOT go over very well with NFL fans.
Seriously. If you can find one single comment out of the over 2,100 comments on that tweet that is positive you are a better man than I.
