The Chicago Bears decided today that they were sick of quarterback trades getting all of the headlines. The big stories of the week had been Russell Wilson being traded to the Broncos and Carson Wentz heading to the Commanders and now the Bears have made their own blockbuster trade.

According to Ian Rapoport, the Bears will be sending Khalil Mack to the LA Chargers in exchange for a 2nd round pick and a 7th round pick.

It’s another move that will make the AFC West an unbelievably difficult division to play in with the Broncos finally getting a QB this week and now the Chargers beefing up an already tough defense.

For the Bears, this trade really makes their Khalil Mack era a failure. They gave up 2 1st rounders, a 3rd rounder, and a 7th round pick in return for Mack and a 2nd round pick just 4 seasons ago.

In the 4 seasons since, the Bears have made one playoff appearance, losing on the “Double Doink” in the 1st round. Since then, the Bears’ best seasons have been a pair of 8-8 seasons.

Now they’re trading Mack for significantly less than what they gave up to get him in the first place and fans are not happy with the return on the trade.
