Some of Bill Belichick’s old New England Patriots players have taken to social media to criticize the legendary head coach’s handling of the Jordon Hudson situation. According to the players, Belichick has become a distraction for his team.
While Bill Belichick’s relationship with Jordon Hudson, who is nearly 50 years younger than he is, was already raising eyebrows, a concerning interview with CBS Sunday Morning has only ratcheted up that speculation.
Friends of Belichick’s such as Charles Barkley are so “concerned” that they plan out reaching out, while execs at the University of North Carolina are reportedly beginning to stress about the situation.
Belichick now finds himself being piled on by former players, too, such as tight end Benjamin Watson and offensive tackle Damien Woody.
“Bill needs to take his own advice. He’s becoming the distraction he so successfully taught his championship teams to avoid,” said former tight end Benjamin Watson.

“Dude had us damn near brainwashed when it came to the media in NE and now he can’t even follow his own script,” said former offensive lineman Damien Woody, who now works at ESPN as an analyst.

The conduct of Hudson in recent months — claiming to be the C.O.O. of Belichick’s production company, taking control of his interviews, being added to official UNC email chains, styling him, etc. — has led to speculation about how the pair actually met and what her intentions are. According to reports, for example, she’s amassed nearly $8 million in real estate assets since meeting Belichick.
