Frank Caliendo’s one of the funniest dudes out there, especially when it comes to impersonating famous people like Charles Barkley, Bill Walton and John Madden, to name a few. But, for my money, the comedian’s all-time best impersonation is current Oakland Raiders coach Jon Gruden, who Caliendo has routinely pretended to be for a variety of bits for both ESPN and FOX Sports over the years.

Since I can never get enough of Frank Caliendo acting like Gruden, take a look at how spot on the 45-year-old funnyman is as Gruden — while sitting across from the real Jon Gruden.

Seriously, if you closed your eyes and didn’t know that Caliendo was even there, there’s a good chance you’d actually believe it was just Jon Gruden talking himself. And, apparently, one person who did just that is Arizona Cardinals general manager Steve Keim, who nearly became the butt of a hilarious joke that Frank Caliendo tried pulling on him leading up to last week’s NFL Draft.

Appearing on The Dan Patrick Show, the comedian detailed how he called Keim several times prior to the draft, busting out his Jon Gruden impersonation to try and pull a quick one on the Cardinals GM to complete a trade for the No. 1 overall pick. It obviously didn’t work, but apparently, Frank Caliendo was pretty damn convincing. Take a look at how he described the prank below.

This is absolutely legendary material, guys. The fact that Frank Caliendo not only nearly pulled off a fake trade before the NFL Draft by pretending to be Jon Gruden, but also had the balls to try and prank an NFL team before one of the biggest days in franchise history, is f*cking incredible. It just goes to show that the guy will do anything for a good laugh, and no one and no situation is safe from his wrath.
