The FSU football team could experience some undesirable weather conditions when it welcomes Memphis to town this Saturday. To prep for potential thunderstorms, they’ve implemented the most unserious practice drill.

Florida State is using water guns to simulate rain, providing college football viewers with a comical scene.

The Seminoles have struggled thus far in the 2024 season, dropping their first two games to Georgia Tech and Boston College. Now, they’ll get a chance to right the ship in out-of-conference play against the Tigers.

Unfortunately, that matchup could be affected by precipitation.

The forecast in Tallahassee currently calls for rain throughout the remainder of the week, and though it’s predicted to ease come Saturday, the ‘Noles aren’t taking any chances!

Players were seen fielding loose footballs as the coaching staff used Super Soakers to spray down punts and passes. The image was downright hysterical.

It’s a drill not unique to FSU.

Just last year, we saw the USC Trojans run through a similar simulation before a game against Notre Dame, though they used spray bottles as opposed to water guns.

The result proved equally as funny!

While wideouts and return-men do their best to prep for the conditions, it’s another position group that continues to be the topic of conversation.

Starting QB DJ Uiagalelei has struggled in his first two games, completing less than 60% of his attempts while throwing as many interceptions as touchdowns. He remains the team’s signal caller moving into Week 3, though fans are already calling for a change under center.

We’ll see if the Seminoles are able to able to get in the win column against a G5 College Football Playoff contender this weekend. FSU hopes to avoid just its second 0-3 start since 1976.
