Gatorade is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2015, and the sports drink company celebrated a few days early with this tremendous commercial.
The ad is titled “50,” and it debuted on Christmas. It features 50 iconic sports moments and world-class athletes such as Derek Jeter, Serena Williams, Peyton Manning, Lionel Messi, Joe Montana, Usain Bolt, Barry Sanders and of course Michael Jordan. It also pays homage to championship teams such as the Boston Celtics, University of Alabama and the first “Gatorade bath” at Super Bowl XXI when Harry Carson of the New York Giants surprised his coach Bill Parcells.
This is a magnificent retrospective of the past half century of sports.
