Georgia Bulldogs Fan Goes Viral On Twitter For Generally Freakish Fan Behavior

College football fandom is strange for a number of reasons.

To be a fan of a college football program is essentially like joining a cult. The fun kind though. Not the death kind.

But sometimes those cults take things just a little bit too far. In fact, we’d argue that those cults often take things too far.

Take, for example, the Georgia Bulldogs fan that went viral on Saturday afternoon.

The Dawgs are the No. 1 team in the nation and holders of the last two national championships. They’ll play host to the UAB Blazers on Saturday night, who shut down their football program entirely less than a decade ago. Georgia enters the game as a massive 40-point favorite.

But does that mean Dawgs fans are kicking back and relaxing? Noooopppeee.

One specific Georgia fan went viral on Saturday afternoon thanks to video circulating Twitter that showed him getting down on all fours like a dog and barking at opposing fans.

Now, looking at the opposing fan’s jersey, the video appears to be from last Saturday’s victory over visiting South Carolina. But that doesn’t excuse the behavior or make it any less insane.

Saddest thing of all is that somewhere, there’s a woman waiting for a text back from these guys,” one Twitter user said of the video.

I wish he had punted dude in the face,” said another.

Remember those SEC commercials that claimed “it just means more?”

Well, that may well be true. But that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a good thing.
