It appears the Florida State Seminoles have found an unlikely ally in their quest get into the College Football Playoff.
Georgia state Senator Colton Moore filed an appeal on Thursday demanding that the Orange Bowl, which pits the Seminoles against the Georgia Bulldogs, be included in this year’s CFP.
People of Georgia demand the @NCAA and @CFBPlayoff include @OrangeBowl in the College Football Playoff: @UGAAthletics vs @Seminoles

Moore (R), who was suspended from his party’s caucus in September, writes that “in light of the CFP expansion in the 2024 season and as a remedy to avoid massive liabilities, People of Georgia request you allow The Orange Bowl to be activated as a College Football Playoff game and therefore delay the National Championship by one week or otherwise make accommodations.”
His request is, of course, insane. And there’s zero chance of it happening. Moore also do not explain how the logistics of adding the game would work.
But he’s not alone!
Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody recently launched an investigation into FSU’s absence from the CFP.
I’m a lifelong Gator, but I’m also the Florida Attorney General, and I know injustice when I see it. That is why we are fighting for the #Unconquered @FSUFootball team and demanding answers from the College Football Playoff Selection Committee.

“What’s clear is the need for more information about the unprecedented decision made by a group of 13 individuals in secret,” Moody said. “This stunning decision not only disappointed millions of fans, but it cost this university and the ACC millions of dollars.”
Moody argues that selection process “reeks of partiality,” demanding the College Football Playoff committee turn over “all communications related to the deliberation.”
