Gervonta Davis’ ex Vanessa Posso has come forward to publicly recant the domestic accusations she made against the boxer days after he was arrested.

Earlier this week, Davis was arrested in Broward county, Florida, after Posso claimed he had struck her with a “closed hand type slap” during a disagreement.

Gervonta Davis allegedly struck a woman on the right side of her head with a “closed hand type slap,” leading to his arrest Tuesday afternoon in Florida, according to a Broward County Sheriff’s Office incident report.

According to the incident report, the woman, who doesn’t live with Davis and whose name was redacted, suffered a small abrasion to the inside of her upper lip on the right side of her mouth.

The 135-pound boxer was arrested at 2:50 p.m. ET Tuesday in Parkland, Florida, and jailed on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge of battery causing bodily harm, according to Broward County Sheriff’s Office records. He was released Wednesday afternoon following a court hearing where bail was set at $1,000, according to the Broward Sherriff’s Office.

Posso was later heard frantically calling for help during her 911 call.

“Please help me; I need help, please. I’m trying to go home, I have a baby in the car and attacked me … He’s going to kill me.”

Davis denied the allegations made against him in a series of Instagram posts and accused his ex of putting baby poop on his toothbrushes inside his home, ripping off his shirt, and spitting on him.

“I NEVER PUT MY HANDS ON MY CHILD MOTHER NOR MY F—ING DAUGHTER ARE YOU F—ING CRAZY!!” “IM NOT A MONSTER I BEEN QUIET FOR TOO LONG. … THAT’S THE ONLY REASON I’M DOING THIS NOW! JUST TO CLEAR MY NAME!”

On Friday, Posso took to Instagram to recant her accusations against Davis.

“While emotions were running high, I made an unnecessary call to law enforcement in an intense moment. Gervonta did not harm me or our daughter.”

Davis is set to fight next week on January 7th against Hector Luis Garcia in Washington DC, and there have been questions as to whether the show would be canceled due to Davis’ arrest.
