Most people just assume that Giannis Antetokounmpo’s nickname ‘The Greek Freak’ comes from the fact that he is in fact Greek and that’s he’s game is flat-out freaky. While those things are true, I think the nickname has more to do with the fact that the man looks more like a freakish Greek god than a regular human, he is literally built like a statue.
During the Bucks-Nets matchup on Tuesday afternoon, Brooklyn big man Donta Hall almost saw the true wrath of Mr. Statue come out after shoving Giannis to the floor battling for a rebound. Antetokounmpos was far from pleased about being shoved and had to be held back by an official.
You can clearly read Giannis’ lips as he says ‘I’m gonna fuck him up.’ You can also see Hall not taking one single step toward Giannis because he knows damn well he would lose that battle.

Interestingly enough, moments after this incident, Giannis actually got dunked on by Justin Anderson. Usually, it’s Giannis doing the dunking, but hey, it’s 2020 and weird shit is happening these days.
