Former NBA player Glen “Big Baby” Davis is going viral for his reaction to a parent telling him that he is his son’s favorite player.

In an exchange on Instagram, one of Davis’ followers admonished him for posting a picture with adult entertainment actress.

“That one time I used to shoot p—–! I really used to like that job!!” Davis wrote on Instagram accompanied by a photo of two adult entertainment actresses.

When one user replied “Bro ur my kid’s favorite player, he follows you,” Davis replied by saying “Well, tell him after basketball life will change. He’s going to have to find a real job. This is me trying new things.”

Davis’ reply prompted quite a response on social media as a tweet highlighting the interaction has since racked up over 3 million views.

Now 38 years old, Davis was drafted by the then-Seattle Supersonics with the 35th overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft.

Davis would never play for the Supersonics/Oklahoma City Thunder, as he was quickly traded to the Boston Celtics, where he played from 2007 to 2011 and won the 2008 NBA Finals with the trio of Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Ray Allen during his rookie season.

Nicknamed “Big Baby” since his days at Louisiana State University, Davis would also go on to play for the Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Clippers before retiring from the NBA in 2015. Over the course of his career, Davis played in 514 regular season games and averaged 8 points and 4 rebounds per contest.

After falling out of the NBA in 2015, Davis spent one year in Canada playing with St. John’s Edge of the National Basketball League of Canada. Davis also spent 2018 playing in Ice Cub’s BIG3 league, winning the league championship with the “Power” team.

Davis’ Instagram is quite an adventure in general, so if you’d like to follow him, you can do so here.
