Green Bay Packers GM Brian Gutekunst shut down trade rumors about David Bakhtiari.

There has recently been speculation he could be traded to the New York Jets.

Over the last few days, the Green Bay Packers have suddenly become the subjects of an interesting trade rumor seemingly out of nowhere.

Based on speculation from some media members, there have been growing rumors that Pitch Perfect 2 star David Bakhtiari could soon become the next Packers player to go and join Aaron Rodgers as a member of the New York Jets.

The idea makes sense.

Rodgers and Bakhtiari are close and Rodgers has seemingly been dropping hints that he wants his former teammate to join him in East Rutherford.

The Jets could also really use some help at both tackle spots on their offensive line.

There are also questions about what the Packers will look like this season with Jordan Love at QB and it would probably be a good move for them to trade the 31-year old tackle before the deadline if the team isn’t very good.

Despite all of that, it looks like Bakhtiari won’t be going anywhere any time soon.

At a press conference today, Packers GM Brian Gutekunst shot down the idea that Bakhtiari could be traded.

Despite the questions about how the team will look post-Rodgers, it appears the Packers are still going to try and give Love the best chance they can to compete in his first year under center.

If that doesn’t work out and the Packers get off to a tough start and it looks like they’ll struggle to make the playoffs, the GM’s stance on Bakhtiari could change.

For now, it appears we won’t be seeing David Bakhtiari team up with Aaron Rodgers again, but there’s always the chance that could change during the season.
