Harold Varner III is a Jordan Brand athlete and typically has a Jumpman logo on every piece of his clothing, but that wasn’t the case during Sunday’s action at The Players. HV3 rocked a generic Players pullover during Sunday’s third round, which caught the attention of practically every golf fan.

As you can see in the photo above, Varner III wore a Nike quarter-zip with ‘The Players’ written on it. The pullover looked like something straight out of the pro shop and probably is sold in the pro shop at TPC Sawgrass, so HV3 was asked after his round if he bought the pullover on property.

It was cold during Sunday’s third round, so it was a fair assumption that Varner III simply forgot to pack accordingly for the cold weather.

He explained that he did pack a pullover of his own but unfortunately lost it.

“I lost my pullover. I still don’t know where it is,” Varner explained on Sunday. “The Nike guys got me one. It’s in my locker. I’ll have a Blue one tomorrow for sure.”

Varner was then asked how he managed to lose a pullover, and his answer was simply great.

“I don’t know how. I didn’t lose my kid, that’s all I have to worry about.”

Good point, Harold, good point.

Jokes aside, you can’t blame Varner III for wearing a generic pullover simply to stay warm. Plenty of players at the Masters wear Masters gear every year, and this situation is no different.
