The Phoenix Suns turned heads with their big trade on Sunday to acquire Bradley Beal from the Washington Wizards.
However, trade rumors are still running rampant, as nobody is quite sure what to expect from Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers.
Well, it sounds like the deal between the Suns and Wizards may have played a crucial part in what the Miami Heat want to do this offseason.
It’s already been reported that the Heat are interested in conducting a possible trade for Damian Lillard. But now it sounds like the organization is all-in on making it come to fruition.
According to Chris Haynes, Miami believes “this could be the offseason the veteran guard seeks a change of scenery.”

It’s important to note, that a deal is not made right now. But this is definitely a situation to monitor.
Considering the Trail Blazers have the No. 3 pick in the NBA Draft, the front office could opt to trade Lillard for a haul of prospects and draft picks.
Even so, there is a belief Portland wants to trade their top three pick instead, as rumors swirl around Zion Williamson and Karl-Anthony Towns.
With that said, the Trail Blazers are probably not going to make a hasty decision. They’ll be weighing their offers up until they’re on the clock during the NBA Draft.
Either way, all eyes will be locked on the Blazers and Heat as Damian Lillard rumors will be at an all-time high all week. The NBA Draft should be very telling.
