It’s safe to say that EA Sports College Football 25 is one of the most-anticipated sports video games of all-time. College football fans have been without a game on major consoles since the summer of 2013, when NCAA Football 2014 was released.

So many gamers, including myself, can’t wait to grind out recruiting, the transfer portal, and player development as we look to take our favorite teams to glory in the famed dynasty mode. And, part of the fun was always trying to take our star player to the Heisman Trophy.

Whether it was in dynasty mode or the Road to Glory Mode, which allowed you to take a player from high school all the way through his college career, taking home the Heisman was so fun. The game had updated Heisman standings after each week with players in your dynasty or Road to Glory, and part of the fun was putting up cartoonish numbers to win the award.

Many players were scared on Friday that the Heisman Trophy wouldn’t be in the game after it was reported that other awards, like the Biletnikoff and Maxwell Awards would not be in the game. Those awards were in the game previously, and it was fun to track progress towards those awards as well.

But, fear not, college football fans. The Heisman Trophy will be up for grabs when the game comes out this summer.

Hopefully, EA Sports made some cool cut scenes for an authentic Heisman Trophy ceremony. It would be so cool if Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit narrated the ceremony, with an authentic trophy presentation while CGI versions of past winners sat down in the background.

We probably won’t get that, but I think everyone who is excited to play EA Sports College Football 25 will be excited to chase the Heisman Trophy.
