Minnesota Wild Reporter Takes a Stick to the Face, Hangs in There

Serving as a “between the benches” reporter in the NHL is not without an inherent risk of injury, as Mike Greenlay discovered last night.

The Minnesota Wild reporter was whacked in the face with a stick after a check, which caused him to bleed all over his fancy dress shirt. Clearly a professional, Greenlay hung in there for the rest of his game with the help of a Band-Aid.

Hockey media is so tough.

Greenlay’s mother was apparently watching the incident and sent her son some handy laundry tips after the game.
