Jimmy Garoppolo, Tom Brady’s talented backup in New England for the past three-and-a-half years, was one of the Cleveland Browns’ top trade targets during the most recent off-season. In fact, there was a strong feeling that the Browns, who have two first-round picks and three second-round picks in the 2018 NFL Draft, were actually going to land him.
Instead, the Browns being the Browns, they traded for Brock Osweiler (who never made a start for them) and drafted DeShone Kizer who has been much less than stellar so far in his rookie season (among other things).

“Tom, these quarterbacks here in Cleveland are killing me. Please make sure we get Garoppolo if you guys decided to trade him…” (probably)
So when it was announced Monday night that Garoppolo had been traded to the San Francisco 49ers for just one second-round pick it left many people in and around the NFL a little surprised.
Some of those people, reportedly, were Browns head coach Hue Jackson (who back in June already said his QBs were driving him to drink) and the rest of his staff.

Considering that the Browns could have easily made a better offer to New England for Garoppolo, plus the fact that since they are tied with the 49ers at ZERO wins so far their picks would be about the same, it’s no wonder Jackson and his staff are upset.
The two quarterbacks Hue has wanted most since taking over are Goff and Garoppolo. It's fair to put RG3 on him. But it's never his call. https://t.co/I6YMuxE8kv

Meanwhile, these three guys continue to sit idly by, just working out and waiting for a call…

Honestly, could any of these three really be any worse than what the Browns have now?
