The saga of the dysfunctional Hogan family has taken a few more turns as the husband of Hulk Hogan’s daughter Brooke, former NHL player Steven Oleksy, has now weighed in on the drama. In addition to that, Hulk Hogan’s ex-wife Linda, Brooke’s mother, has also now gone public with her own wild claims.
It all began last Thursday when Linda posted an emotional video to social media saying her “family is in the worst mess” and that her and Hulk’s daughter Brooke Hogan hasn’t talked to her for seven years. Brooke responded to the video by claiming she had been “extremely verbally and mentally abused,” at times turning physical, since she was a child.
On Friday, Linda went back on social media, writing a lengthy message in which she claimed “Brooke is a narcissist just like her dad … going out … spewing lies to everyone.”
Linda also claimed that one time her daughter Brooke “was so drunk she broke my collarbone and cut my lip and insisted everyone take her to the hospital because she was poisoned and she wasn’t. She was just drunk… there’s many stories like that. I’m not gonna go on, but I’m not gonna defend myself against these ridiculous allegations. I’ll do that in court if she keeps it up.”
Then, on Saturday, Brooke Hogan’s husband Steven Oleksy, who played for the Washington Captials and Pittsburgh Penguins in the NHL, wrote his own extremely long message on social media. In his message, Olesky wrote that Brooke’s “post was not a plea for attention, sympathy or even support. It was simply a response to the false claims that had been made about her.”
Olesky added, “I cannot stand by and allow anyone to continue to hurt not only the most amazing person I am fortunate enough to call my wife, but also the distorted sense of power and relevance the media can sometimes grant individuals.”
He also addressed Linda’s claim that Brooke hurt her while drunk, writing, “The claim that my wife broke ‘Jane Doe’s’ collarbone was laughable to those who know the truth. I myself have had only one sip of alcohol in my life, at that was to celebrate a Stanley Cup championship at the age of 32. My wife will have the occasional cocktail or glass of wine, but neither of us has ever used drugs or any other substance that may alter reality.”
And then, on Saturday night, Brooke Hogan took to social media with another message, writing in her Instagram stories, “You lied to people so they would hate me. I lied to people so they would like you. We are not the same.” She then posted another message that appeared to be an attempt to bring the entire saga to an end. “Back to R E A L I T Y,” she wrote alongside a photo of her and Oleksy with their twin babies.
Meanwhile, as all of that was happening, Hulk Hogan and his new wife Sky Daily posted the following clip with the caption, “Getting ready for the new HH TV show 🍿 🍿 🍿 coming soon!”
