The Iowa Hawkeyes offense is bad.

Honestly, “bad” probably doesn’t do it justice. The Hawkeyes offense is downright putrid. And that was before starting quarterback Cade McNamara went out for the season with an injury and was replaced by Deacon Hil.

X-Golf, a golf-themed bar in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with various golf simulators in it, is fully aware of this fact. And it has come up with a plan to capitalize on it.

Though that plan might just backfire.

The bar is running a “Pour Until Iowa Scores” promotion for the game.

If patrons book a simulator bay for 7 p.m. on Saturday night, they will receive free draft beers until the Hawkeyes score, the game ends, or their booked time runs out.

Now, we’re not sure if they’re aware of this. But it could be a long time until the Hawkeyes score in this one. At just 18 points per game, Iowa has one of the worst scoring offenses in all of college football, coming in at No. 121 in the country.

Meanwhile, the Wolverines boast the No. 1 scoring defense in the country at 10.25 points per game allowed. That seems like a recipe for disaster for both the Hawekyes and X-Golf Cedar Rapids.

But hey, they presumably knew what they were getting into with this one.
